Hurricane Pilot FL Lt Albert Wright, age 93, who flew with 85 Sqn at Biggin Hill during the Battle of Britain, where he was shot down and spent 18ths in hostipal,befor returning to duty.

The inscription at the base of the memorial reads : "This Window Commemorates the Pilots of the Royal Air Force who in the Battle of Britain turned the work of our hands into the Salvation of our Country."
